I know, every dog thinks his human is cool, but in my case it happens to be true. Not only is Monte Workman talented, but hešs got credentials (kind of like a pedigree, which none of us dogs in his household have, but which I gather some people care about). He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Kent State University in Ohio, with a major in graphic design (that comes in handy in his geeky computer business, MoiaGroup, LLC). He also took lots of art history and technique courses, and you can tell. But in my not-so-humble opinion, his key qualification for doing portraits is that he really gets the whole pet/people bond. I donšt just mean that he's nice to us, which he is, but that he knows therešs something special about the attachment, and that it's important to get that across on canvas.
